The goal of a chiropractic adjustment is to balance structural alignment to your spine and improve your body's physical function.

HydroMassage is most commonly used for 8-10  minutes prior to an adjustment or spinal decompression to help with muscle soreness, stiffness, and tension.

Electrical muscle stimulation is a therapy where electrodes are placed on the skin that send light electrical pulses to different areas of the body with the purpose of reducing inflammation and increasing muscle relaxation thereby temporary relieving pain.

How does Ultrasound work and how does it help?

Ultrasound therapy treatment that has been used since the 1940's.  The application of ultrasound utilizes a probe or wand which is placed into direct contact with the skin of the affected area.

Ultrasound gel is used on the surface of the skin to help reduce friction and improve the transmission of the ultra-sonic waves.  As these sound waves pass through the skin they cause a vibration of the local tissues which results in a local heating effect.  The patient though will normally feel no heat during the application. The intensity of the ultrasound shall be adjusted depending on the desired effect and the treatment needed.

Ultrasound has been shown to cause increased :

Tissue relaxation
Muscle relaxation
Local blood flow
Scar tissue breakdown

This increase in local blood flow can help :

Reduce pain
Reduce local swelling
Reduce chronic inflammation
May promote bone fracture healing
